 Dr. James A. Wells D.D.S. |
Dr. Wells is a native of Monongah, West Virginia. He attended Fairmont State College between 1989 and 1992 and graduated from West Virginia School of Dentistry in 1996. He furthered his education by participating in an advanced education of general dentistry program at the Physicians Office Center in Morgantown, West Virginia. After moving to Charlotte in 1997, he joined a group practice in which he worked as an associate for 3 years. He opened his office in September 1999 and prides himself on the small town atmosphere he provides to his patients. Christy Orr - Dental Hygienist |
Christy is a registered dental hygienist who brings over 14 years of dental experience. She graduated from Central Piedmont Community College in 2002. She has over 65 hours of continuing education and is constantly advancing her education. Prior to becoming a dental hygienist, she was a certified dental assistant for 2 years and still enjoys assisting when she gets the chance. She has been with Dr. Wells since 2003. She and her husband, Chris, live in Belmonte, North Carolina. They enjoy any activities outside with their dog Calvin and spending time with their families. christy@jawells.com |
Leanne McCoy - Dental Assistant |
Leanne is one of our Dental Assistants. She completed a dental assistant training course at the Lake Norman Dental Assistant Training School. Not only is she a Dental Assistant, but she is also a licensed Esthetician as well as a Certified Nurse Assistant. In her free time you can catch her cheering for the Carolina Speed arena football team. She also loves to spend time with her fiancé Jason and her two shih tzu’s Molly and Zoey. leanne@jawells.com |

Christina one of our dental assistants, a native of Charlotte, has been with us since the office opened. As well as an assistant she is also the office manager. She has 11 years experience, all of which are within the same office of Dr. Wells. When not working, she and her husband stay busy with their children Austin and Lucus. Kim Whitman - Financial Coordinator |
Kim is our financial and treatment coordinator. She handles the financial aspect of your treatment, insurance verification, scheduling, and billing questions. She has over 20 years of experience in various aspects of the dental field. She and her husband Steve stay very active with their 2 boys, Shane and Kyle, and their busy baseball schedule. kim@jawells.com |
Kelly Hall - Dental Hygienist |
Kelly, a registered dental hygienist, is the newest member of our team. She started in the dental profession as a Dental Assistant in 2003 and furthered her education by graduating from Asheville Buncombe Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene.
